Incase anyone was wondering what I will be buying this holiday:
Dishonored Definitive Edition
I liked Dishonored a lot when I played it on Xbox 360 and Dishonored 2 is a game I am highly anticipating, I have some concerns over the quality of this remaster but i’ve not had a chance to play it yet. I hope it is better than i’ve heard and Bethesda didn’t sell this great game short.
Unfortunately when I played it originally I just killed everything so I got the lame ending, I will do my best to do better this time!
Gears of War Ultimate Edition
As someone who is happy to admit that he’s a Gears fanboy anything that is released is something I am going to buy and Ultimate Edition is no different. The new coat of paint and other improvements look like a good reason to pick it up.
Gears is back on Xbox as we ramp up to the release of Gears of War 4, this is just the first step.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Im getting very excited for this now and also a bit sad that its Kojima’s last Metal Gear Solid game but with reviews about to roll in and soon I will be playing it I think it will be the ultimate Kojima MGS game. Big open-world, tons of content and great (if convoluted!) story.
I am ready.
Forza Motorsport 6
Im not someone who usually really likes to keep buying racing games, this will be my third Forza in 3 years but with the new additions like the night races and weather plus just a much bigger list of tracks and cars I’m going to go into Forza Motorsport again this year, don’t let me down Turn10!
I like football, its a football game and the best one there is so its a bit of a no-brainer for me. I do hope EA sort themselves out though, some of the stupid things about last – terrible goalkeepers, awful referees, numerous bugs will get a bit grating if they don’t make an actual effort to improve them.
Halo 5 Guardians
Halo is one of those franchises that I like but when you release so many things in a franchise it looses that excitement status even if they’re not brand new games every year. I am more of a campaign guy as well so I am looking forward to seeing what 343 have been working on for this red vs blue face-off between Spartan Locke and Master Chief.

Rise of the Tomb Raider
The Tomb Raider reboot in 2013 was a game I enjoyed a lot and I am looking forward to Rise of the Tomb Raider a lot, a good 2.5+ year development cycle, it seems the multiplayer has been dropped a bigger focus on tombs and a better single player game is exactly what I wanted. Also I love Camilla Luddington so thats a bonus.
I just recently played Fallout 3 for the first time and enjoyed it a lot, i’ve got Fallout New Vegas too now so I will have that to play before November 10th when Fallout 4 drops but based on what i’ve just played I will definitely get Fallout 4 at launch. Bethesda have spent a long time on it and hopefully it matches the expectations of fans who have waited so long for it.
Football Manager 2016
Its not been announced yet but its more likely to happen than my next breath (my health is fine fwiw). As someone who loves management, tycoon and simulator games the chance to don my suit and be the manager I was born to be is hard to pass up.
Mad Max: I expect this will get very cheap very quickly especially as (in the UK anyway) its already dropped quite low pre-release so if it proves to be a good time I will certainly look to pick it up.
Cobalt: Mojang and Oxeye Studios action side scroller which got some stage time at Gamescom looks fun and I will probably check it out when it has a date nailed down.
Adr1ft: Adam Orth’s space game looks and sounds pretty cool but I need a date, if they give me one and its a good price I will probably pick it up.
Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition: I like RPGs and this is very highly rated I will definitely be checking it out at some point but I’m not 100% sure if that will be this year.
Wastleland 2: Very similar story to Divinity Original Sin really, one for the future, not necessarily 2015.
Hitman: Im not on-board with this ridiculous early access, episodic release they’ve got going on. IO can call it what they want, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then I’m going to call it a freakin’ duck. Somehow they’ve managed to erode my excitement for a game I have been looking forward to for a long while.
Just Cause 3: It looks like a good time and despite owning it on Games on Demand I skipped Just Cause 2 so perhaps I will jump back in.
